GREYHOUNDS

I thank the Windsor committee, my stewards and the exhibitors for the opportunity       to judge these greyhounds.   Most of whom managed the uneven ground rather well.   

Special Beginners Dog or Bitch    3/0

1st    Miss G Langcake & Mr Mark Short 

        Southpoint Normandia At Longshor (Imp Prt)     B

Young red bitch.  Pleasing head, good expressive dark eyes.  Nice reach of neck  and topline.  Good shoulder placement and underline.  Sufficient rear angulation.  A little unsettled on the move.

2nd     Mrs Melanie Abell

          Ballyoak Queen     B

Black and white racing bred bitch.  Nice head, eyes and ear set.  Nice front and topline.  Moved OK and looked as if she enjoyed herself.

Seven year old white dog in good condition. Nice masculine  head, strong neck, straight front and tight feet.  Nice underline.  Moved well.

           Jaxx Teller At Stonelow     D

A nine year old white/parti racing bred dog in good condition for his age.  Nice head and dark eyes.  Well muscled front, angulation typical for r/c  dog.Did not cooperate very well with his handler in this class.

A pleasing brindle/white youngster with a nice head, good length of neck and good shoulders.  Nice topline and tail set.  Nice front and neat feet.  Good underline and bend of stifle for his age.  Loose on the move but showed a lot of promise.

A nice young red dog in good condition. Liked his well balanced outline. Nice head and neck leading to good shoulders, nice topline and tail set.  Good front and hind angulation.  Nice tuck up.  Movement needs to improve a little to achieve his full potential.     RBD.

Black dog who unfortunately did not co-operate with his handler and was difficult to assess.  He has a nice head and dark eyes, strong neck and tight feet.

Masculine blue brindle dog in good hard condition.  Nice head, alert expression and good ear set.  Strong neck leading to well set back shoulder placement.  Good hind quarters and rear angulation.  Pleasing front assembly and tight feet.

Coped well with the ground conditions when asked to move.

Pleased to award him the  DCC.

White/red dog in good clean condition.  Good head, nice dark eyes and ear set.  Strong neck, good topline and tail set.  Well muscled front, nice underline and rear angulation.  Nice tight feet.  Moved well.

Red dog who looked as if he was enjoying himself, but well behaved.  In good hard condition.  Nice head, dark eyes and good length of neck.  Typical  topline, underline and sufficient bend of stifle.  Moved well around the ring.

Black dog, heavier built that the first, in good condition.  Pleasing head and ear set.  Nice front and feet.  Strong topline.  Moved out covering the ground.

Pale brindle puppy, lovely feminine  head, expressive eyes and well set ears.  Good length of neck leading into good shoulders. Nice topline, tuck up and tail set. Good front.  Preferred her overall balance and profile to the puppy dog. Look forward to following her progress in the ring.  BP

An attractive young red bitch.  Good length of neck leading into good shoulders. Nice topline and adequate rear angulation.  Nice front, well developed chest for her age.  Once she settled moved well.

Slightly larger bitch than first and was first in special beginners.

Another attractive well balanced pale bridle bitch. Shapely outline, nice head and expressive eyes.  Good front and sufficient rear angulation.  Nice tuck up.  Once she settled on the move, looked good.

Dark brindle who was not co-operating with her handlers to-day.  Nice head, sweet expression and good ear set.  Neat front and tight feet.

Brindle/white bitch in good condition has a balance outline. Nice head, dark expressive eyes and good ear placement.  Good length of neck, topline and rise over the loin.  Nice bend of stifle.  Well developed chest and nice tuck up.  Moved soundly and with enthusiasm.   RBB

A very well balance, feminine red bitch.  A pleasing outline, lovely expressive head, nice long neck into good shoulders and topline.  Good front, tight elbows, neat feet. 

Nice tuck up, rear quarters and good tail set. Movement was effortless   Movement was effortless and covered the ground well.

BCC and was pleased to hear she was short listed in the Hound Group.

Lighter built red bitch than the winner.  Nice profile.  Nice head and length of neck.  Good straight front, feet and underline.  Would have like to see more drive on the move.
