Class 2152 SBD/B (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 5357 LEGG, Mrs. Susan Delsaux Strawberry Fields, 15 Months, red with a pleasing head for the breed. Moderately long and full muscled neck with a reasonably level back. Moved freely. BSBIB
2nd: 5344 CHEESE, Mrs. Susanne Rosemarie Africandawns Heidi Clare at Suecaseus, Black and tan 5.5 yrs, different in type to the winner with more height and narrower body, than I prefer. When free stood his topline improved.
Class 2153 VD/B (4 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 5347 DUCHESNE, Mrs. C Darsoms Zyjosh of Scandell, 8-Year-old, red with a lovely expression and eye shape. His breast bone was strong and his ribbing was well back, loin short and strong. Moved with reach and drive. Pleased to award BVIB.
2nd: 5338 CHAPMAN, Mrs. M Melminds Zsylvester, 10-year-old, dark red, showing his age today. Forearm short and strong in bone, supported on good tight feet.
Class 2155 JD (1 Entry) Abs: 0
1st: 5364 REID, Mr & Mrs. Philip & Dianne Cavallibrook Final Legacy at Maudaxi, 16-month red male. Compact, well-muscled body, enough ground clearance to ratio, ribs extended well back, short loin. Moved soundly both fore and behind.
Class 2156 PGD (2 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 5371 VINCENT, Miss S L GAINSCROFT DASHING DUDLEY, 22 Mth old shaded red presented to me in glowing condition, moving out in style. He was too broad for me in skull, and sadly was rather steep in set on of shoulder, but he did have a strong breast bone. He moved soundly and with drive on his feet.
Class 2157 LD (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5372 VINCENT, Miss S L GAINSCROFT DARK DESTROYER, Litter brother to the previous class winner, was of a smaller build but yet another glowing red male. His outline first took me and hands-on did not disappoint although he is steeper in his upper arm, he has an excellent topline both standing and moving with an excellent tail set.
2nd: 5345 CLARKE, Mr & Mrs. PP & DJ TEKALHAUS THE EXCELSIOR, 3-Year-old dark red male, of the bigger type which I would never penalize. However, this boy does himself no favours on the stack, his shoulders, and upper arm are set on too steep, and it shows with the rise to his hindquarters.
Class 2158 OD (5 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 5365 ROBERTS, Mr. D Ch Swansford Gregorydor, 2.5 Yr old red male. Shown to me in such gleaming coat and condition. This boy has had plenty of write-ups in his couple of years in the ring, which I will not repeat but as a breed specialist, I have to say he is excellent for his breed and your hands do genuinely glide from one end of him to the other. Greg comes into his own with his effortless and perfectly sound powerful movement. I was delighted to award him the DCC with BOB.
2nd: 5352 GEESON, Miss Elizabeth Ch Abydachs Return Of The Night, 2.5 Yr old male, another shown in gleaming coat and condition. This boy is very impressive on the move and does not disappoint on the table. I was really pleased to award him the RDCC.
Class 2160 PB (2 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5355 GEESON, Mrs. J F Abydachs Hot Patootie, 11 mth old S Red. An absolute darling I could have stolen her in a heartbeat. She has a gorgeous head, eyes, and expression, the more her personality was displayed the more she drew me. Upon examination, she has an excellent sternum, and her angles are all correct, her topline is spot on, and her reach, and drive are what you would want at her age. I was delighted to award this one, BPIB.
2nd: 5342 CHAPMAN, Mrs. M Melminds up on the Catwalk, 11 mth red bitch, lovely head but alas she was not as confident as the winner on the day, I liked what I could feel here though and I'm sure with more schooling she will do very well in her show career.
Class 2161 JB (4 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: 5356 HANNEY-MITCHELL, Mrs. F Ch Cavallibrook Final Fling Bronia, 18 mths clear red bitch. This one is very elegant in appearance and excellent in prosternum, her shoulder angles are all correct with good width to the body, supported on super digging spades, liked her bend of stifle along with her forward reach and rear drive.
2nd: 5368 SAINSBURY, Dr & Mrs. Roger Drymoor Marron Glace at Boscolla, 14 mth old red. Unlucky to come across the maturity of the winner here as she is just out of puppy and still so young. She has a beautiful head and eye and hopefully will settle in her front angles and movement in the not-too-distant future.
Class 2162 PGB (9 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 5353 GEESON, Miss Elizabeth The Marquis Mansion's Atlantic C at Abydachs (IMP) 8 mth old black and tan bitch with a truly stunning head and dark almond eyes, she has excellent foreangles, a good bend of stifle, and a level topline which won her the class.
2nd: 5341 CHAPMAN, Mrs. M Melminds Meryl Streep, 2.5 yr old red of larger type. She was superb moving, but she needs more time spent on her with training, as she could trouble the best.
Class 2163 LB (4 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5339 CHAPMAN, Mrs. M Melminds Make Them Gold, 4-Year-Old red bitch. This bitch opens up on the move and shows off her structure well. She has an excellent front assembly width to her body and length to her ribbing, she moved with precise reach and drive.
2nd: 5337 BUTLER, Miss CLARE TEKALHAUS OUR GIRL FROM DRYMOOR, 3-Year-old shaded red bitch, she had a lovely head and eye, excellent breastbone, and tightly fitting elbows. I was disappointed to see the rise in her topline when stacked.
Class 2164 OB (5 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: 5351 GEESON, Miss Elizabeth Ch Abydachs Fire In Her Soul, 4-Year-old red bitch. My first impressions were how she commanded the ring with such grace and elegance. Upon inspection I found a superbly constructed bitch, excelling in a strong breast bone and short loin. Her forward reach and drive were parallel and long striding. I was pleased to award her the BCC.
2nd: 5361 MCNAUGHTON, Ms. Lesley Ch CEDAVOCH BLITHE SPIRIT, 3-year-old red bitch, She caught my eye straight away, and my hands-on did not disappoint she was beautifully made throughout, she lost out today due to her fidgeting.
