The Welsh Kennel Club 2024

I took over these classes due to Paul Harding’s indisposition. Thanks to my two excellent stewards.  There were some lovely dogs here today.

THE ROYAL KENNEL CLUB AV GOOD CITIZEN CLASS (Day 2)

Class 1767 AVH/T GCD/B (31 Entries) Abs: 8
1st: 2579 HUDSON, Miss Zoe Niamh Mutoko's Parkers Glory.  Rhodesian Ridgeback. A good looking soundly made exhibit.  Nicely balanced with good depth of chest and some strength over the loins.  Moved with an easy, fluid action.  Good ridge and crowns.
2nd: 3365 HUGHLOCK, Mrs Carol & HUGHLOCK, Mr Graham Keevasdream Ballerina Blue Jw.  Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier. Has a lot of quality, flat skull and strong jaws.  Clean, nicely arched neck and good forehand with depth of chest and good bone.  Good textured jacket and impressed on the move.
3rd: 2831 OFFER, Mrs A C Ch Woolytop The Wherryman Sh.CM ShCEx VW

THE ROYAL KENNEL CLUB CHARITABLE TRUST STAKES (Day 2)

Class 1768 AVPD/B H/Te (11 Entries) Abs: 6
1st: 2933 MILLS, Mr Jack Rightstuff Black Knight.  Bull Terrier. A really good prospect I would think.  Strong and muscular with a very typical head, excellent dentition and a relatively small eye. Decnt forehand with good quality bone and compact feet.  Well bodied with good spring of rib.  Very positive, sound, easy action.  He is a good showman and was well schooled and presented.
2nd: 1965 TANNER, Mrs C Felinoak Griffyn (ai).  Beagle. A very handsome youngster with a lovely kind expression.  Pleasing forehand with excellent round bone and good feet. Short coupled and well ribbed. Moved well with some drive evident.
3rd: 3166 RICHTER, Ms Katarzyna Rainbowlake Private Dancer

Class 1770 OD/B H/T (15 Entries) Abs: 10
1st: 2837 ANSCOMBE, Mrs Tracey Jane & ANSCOMBE, Mr Mark Kevrah Orion Seeking Orangebox (Imp USA).  Border Terrier.  Smart and very typical, good head proportions, alert expression.  Well balanced with some depth and is easily spannable.  Good pelt.  Moved out well.
2nd: 1884 MOULDING, Miss K S Nykarth Touch Of Class.  Basset Griffon Vendeen (Petit).  Feminine with a happy, intelligent expression.  Good depth of chest, firm topline with good tailset.  Well angulated and in good muscular condition.
