BRITTANYS
PD (0) JD (4,2a) 1 Nicholls’ Minama Unforgettable at Stonesview, o/w balanced youngster who moved & typical for age, liked his type & balance, head needs to finish but he is quality & cobby, in correct coat with lovely hindquarters & topline, good ribcage & has so much potential that I couldn’t resist him in the challenge for the RCC; 2 Molton’s Jayricnbrits Uther at Braebrits, b/t who was unsettled today but I appreciated his excellent breed type & so much promise that I am sure he will do well when he settles & matures up, today he was not moving correctly but I appreciated his correct head & expression for lovely eyes & good ear carriage, correct point of shoulders & forequarters, he is balanced. PGD (3,1) 1 Drozdova’s Maliik Team Del Crepo, o/r who again today was unsettled on the move but a good type with balance, he is cobby with a good head & expression, enough coat covering a well made body with a good topline & correct forequarters, good hindquarters with well boned legs & feet, an interesting dog who again I think needs time to show his full potential; 2 Jones’ Rochus Take Action, b/w again I think the early start was affecting the dog’s brains as he didn’t want to move properly today either! Nice type who on the move was moving wide behind which affected his front movement, head ok but a nice expression for good eyes of a correct shape & colour, good neck & forequarters, correct topline & well muscled hindquarters. LD (0) OD (6,1) 1 Graham & Yarrow’s Sh Ch Bonapartist Pickpocket, typical, cobby o/w of an excellent type & construction, pleased to have another chance to see him for I think he was second under me at WKC. My, how he has come along, now the finished picture of a typical Brittany. Not the largest of dogs but so very correct. Loved his head & expression, eye shape, colour & ear placement of an acceptable size for the breed, good neck but excellent shoulder placement & width between top of shoulder blades correct giving a good topline through to a correct hindquarter but where he comes alive is in his correct bustling movement with no wasted energy, he is cobby, in good coat & quality all through. Delighted to give him the CC & BOB & to watch him be shortlisted in the group under Becky Johnson; 2 Williams & Drozdova’s Sh Ch Bonapartist Peaky Blinder avec Aukskara, litter brother & you can’t miss him either. Preferred the shape, size & type of 1 but this o/r is still a good example of the breed & I can see why he has his title for he is balanced & moves correctly on well boned legs & feet, masculine head & expression with well placed ears & a good neck & correct shoulder placement, correct forequarters & a good ribcage & loin, put down in excellent coat & condition; 3 Cook’s Sh Ch Highclare Only One Avec Tailliside JW. GCD (0) SBD (1) 1 R Take Action, moved better here & deserved his win.VD/B (2,1) 1 Taylor & Gill’s Patouche Jais, lovely type & certainly doesn’t look her 10 years of age for she is very typical & showed & moved so well, she is nicely made with an excellent ribcage, a good size & balanced, pretty head & expression & was put down in excellent coat & condition for age, a good Brittany of an excellent type. BV. PB (1) 1 Dixon’s Violette De Keranlouan (imp Fra) (bb3), black tri with attractive markings, a typical puppy who bounced all the way round the ring but was enchanting! Obviously needs to finish to see her full potential but she has a good coat, of a good size & balance, pretty head coming, just needs maturity too finish for she had a good topline & good correct hindquarters, showed well.BP. JB (3,1) 1 Molton’s Jayricnbrits Unctious at Braebrits, cobby o/w who is so very feminine, there would be no mistaking her sex, well coated with the correct texture & length, such a feminine head & expression, lovely neck just right to balance with her correct shoulder placement & correct forequarters, lovely ribcage & strong loin giving her a lovely topline & strong hindquarters which are not over angulated as some. When she concentrated & thought about it, she moved a treat, giving the correct movement I expect from this kennel! She is quality & one to be watched; 2 Anderson’s Rochus Unique Elsa, o/r who at present just needs to mature & tighten up for she appears slightly too long for balance but that should improve with age, she is a good size with an excellent, well presented coat & the correct forequarters & hindquarters to match, good length & depth & width of ribcage & a good loin, moved well on well boned legs & feet. PGB (2,1) 1 Jones’ Rochus Sweet Pea, alone but worthy of her first, this b/r has a good forechest & correct forequarters, correct shoulder width & a nice topline, moved ok on well boned legs & feet, correct ribcage & loin, in lovely coat & condition. LB (3,1) 1 Yarrow’s Minama Usher of Bonapartist, o/w who is slightly too long for balance but still an excellent type of Brittany who appeals for her quality & outlook, moved so well with such a feminine head & expression, lovely eye shape & colour & the correct ears, she is mature & a good mover who is well boned with a lovely ribcage & good hindquarters, so very close up to the CC winner but today had to be the winner of the RCC in good company. Litter sister to the RDCC; 2 J Unctious at B. OB (1) 1 Yarrow’s Sh Ch Bonapartist Truffle, o/w who I liked before when I made her BP, I didn’t recognise her for she has come on so well, when she stopped pacing she settled into a typical Brittany movement, which is hard to explain but once you have seen it, you will know. Too many race round the ring which is not correct for the breed. Put down in excellent coat & condition with an exccellent head & expression, well placed & carried ears, good neck with the correct shoulder placement & forequarters, lovely ribcage, she is so feminine & one not to miss in a line up. Pleased she has lived up to her early promise & thrilled to give her the CC. GCB (0) SBB (1) 1 R Sweet Pea. Best Special Beginners. PAM BLAY
