Judging: Pastoral Group
Sincere thanks to the committee for the honour of judging The Pastoral Group, delayed since 2020 due to the covid pandemic but certainly worth waiting for.
Group 1. Blanc, Miss N L & Blanc Mrs C B - Ch. Penlaith Bill Me Later (ai) Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) Stunning Bitch with quality in abundance. Feminine and beautifully balanced, well constructed with sound free movement. She has all the essential breed characteristics. A Lovely picture both standing and moving.
Group 2 . Akester, Mr Adam & Akester, Mrs Elizabeth & Wiltshire. Sh. Ch. Thwaitlake Buzzman. Border Collie. Masculine in head with correct bone and substance. He is graceful and flows through from head to tail, his movement is free and tireless.
Group 3. Johnson, Mr P J & Mrs B. - Ch Nikara Sweet Dreams For Kimeekasams – Samoyed The first thing to catch my eye was her feminine wedge shaped head and almond shaped eye giving her a wonderful expression. Really on her toes and showing off her excellent shape and outline. She is true in her front movement with plenty of drive from behind.
Group 4. Pike & Carter, Mr & Mrs Julie & Ahlie – Breezelyn Ear Sumut Aspecial – Hungarian Pumi. He really is very special. Ears high set and used well. Crisp, smart and square in outline with proud head carriage. Soundly constructed and moved accordingly.
In addition to my previous winners and and due to the large number of quality exhibits my shortlist was longer than normal so for further consideration I chose
The Australian Shepherd, Bearded Collie, Lancashire Heeler, Pyrenean Mountain Dog, Pyrenean sheepdog (Long Haired) Shetland Sheepdog, Welsh Corgi (Cardigan).
