Best Special Beginner :
I would like to firstly thank the officers & committee for the invitation to judge and also my stewards who were essential in helping me to keep things moving. I was delighted with the wonderful entry and remain grateful for all who entered their dogs. Unfortunately, a high proportion of the exhibits were moving very poorly due to the condition of the ground and it made it near impossible to access movement and this was reflected in many of my decisions. I was slightly concerned with the presentation of some of the exhibits, whilst it is widely and correctly accepted that the coat of the Tibetan Spaniel is not the be all and end all, it should be a given that the coat is clean and groomed before coming into the ring.

1st: 5322 TAYLOR, Mrs H & Mr D N Oldcharm Can You Love Me At Maursett
- A smart and happy gold sable with black mask. Good head and eye, chin and muzzle. Moved well coming and going and stood well, at all times keeping a level topline.
2nd: 5327 TYLER, Ms Y Mulltye Rol Mo - A smart 8 & ½ month sable dog puppy, pleasing head and outline. He was rather unsettled today and was quite determined to do his own thing, perfectly entitled to do as he is still a baby. I did manage to see evidence of good movement.

1st: 5286 LEMON, Mr R Parloueve Made You Look - A smart sable dog, nicely made with strong head features. Well-constructed, and this was evident both on the move and whilst on the table. Coat in very good condition, giving a good outline whilst in motion, moved with style
2nd: 5298 MINTO, Mrs Ellen Anacan Don't Stop Me Now - I really liked this dog, more of my type, however he was just out of puppy and on the day, he was eclipsed by the class winner. He is a red and white with small head, correct bite, and looked balanced in movement coming and going

1st: 5250 CLOSE, Mrs Julia & CLOSE, Mr Dave Velrok Royal Gold With Arikara- An impressive gold sable dog, with small head in proportion to his body, level topline, coat immaculately presented. On the move he was happy to oblige and showed well. Whilst on the table I noted he had the correct bite and ear set.
2nd: 5324 THOMSON, Ms E J Tibbiestars Time Lord JW - An eye catching Red dog, larger than the class winner, but this is not noted as a criticism, just a comparison. Very striking on the move and all in all a very pleasing exhibit

1st: 5251 COLAÇO, Ms Lisa & BROWN, Mr Nicolas / Saxtead Norbu - The first time actually going over this dog, but one that I have watched from a young puppy. He has developed into an appealing dog, and is shown very well by his handler. He is a gold sable, with a small head, correct bite. Good eye and muzzle, and nicely coated. Moved well coming and going and showed well in the challenge, but for me, on the day I felt he needed that little more maturity. No need to be prophetic to see he will win well and with top honours.
2nd: 5266 HARFORD, Mrs Andrea & HARFORD, Mr Michael Mennimoonz Dragon Fly - A gold parti colour, pleasing size with attractive head and expression, good mouth. Coat beautifully presented and moved with purpose.

1st: 5288 LILLEY, Mrs G J Torfness Edward Bear At Kensing - When I last judged, he was my best puppy and I was thrilled to meet him again today and noted that he fulfilled his earlier promise. He has excelled in movement and stance and was one of the few who did not seem troubled by the unevenness of the ground. In good coat presented well finished the picture and delighted to award RCC
2nd: 5330 WATKINS, Mr Malcolm J & WATKINS, MRS OLWEN Amcross Pandit - A favourite of mine, judged him as young puppy where he also did well and again really pleased to see him as a mature adult. Not always in the mood to show, but today he was more than happy to oblige. He is a well-constructed Red and White Tibetan Spaniel with the small head in proportion to his body, good muzzle and cushioning. Today he moved well which was all the more amazing considering many others were finding the ground a problem.

1st: 5287 LEMON, Mr S Ch Parloueve True Blue - Totally at one with his handler. A gold dog, with good mouth, correct muzzle, lovely dark eyes. Masculine without being coarse, sufficient neck, level top line and good tail set, richly plumed. Like all of the dogs placed in this class, there was something to like about them all, but today he was my choice for the DCC and BOB. I was pleased to see later that he was placed Group 4 in the Utility Group
2nd: 5239 BEVIS, Mrs P J Ch Skyvana Empty Dreams Of Starlance ShCEx - An immaculately presented gold sable male, with pleasing head and neck, carried on a nicely shaped body. Level topline and again was unperturbed by the condition of the ground, a tribute to his lovely hare feet! Moved with style.

1st: 5284 LEMON, Mr R Ch Souska I Need Your Love - I was worried about him from the word go! We have history you see, I made him my Best of Breed at my first Championship Show judging the breed. He then went on to win the utility group and then become the first Tibetan Spaniel to ever win BIS at a General Champ show. What was he going to be like in veteran? I’ve seen this with other big winning dogs in several breeds looking less than perfect in veteran classes. Thankfully, he came into the ring as usual with all the keenness and verve that he had in the past. He still has the attributes of head and eye, level top line kept coming and going, at one with his handler. Pleased to see he was placed 3rd in the Utility Veteran Group
2nd: 5270 HARFORD, Mrs Andrea & HARFORD, Mr Michael Tuyet Elvis Wonder Of You At Mennimoonz - A very smart Black and white dog. Well put together, in good coat and beautifully presented. Moved with purpose and showed well.

2nd: 5302 OSBORN, Mrs M L Quailmoor Gold Dust - Another very pretty and appealing gold sable puppy. She is a nice size and balanced. Unfortunately, she was not very confident and rather reluctant to walk which was a pity but I feel certain she has potential.

1st: 5272 HARFORD, Mrs Andrea & HARFORD, Mr Michael Baarnayotms April Showers At Mennimoonz - A 9 month old red sable petite girl with plenty of correct breed type. Coat nicely presented. A good bite, attractive eyes and good earset. Sufficient bone and looked good on the stand and on the move.
2nd: 5283 LEE, Mrs Susan T Oldcharm Love Not War - A gold bitch of a different type to the class winner, unfortunately she was a little over awed by the experience of this, her first show. Experience and more training will pay dividends

1st: 5242 BORRETT, Mrs C J Crockerne Moon Beam At Tibama - A well- made feminine Silver Sable with correct head, bite and cushioning. In excellent physical condition, as were all the exhibits from this kennel, this was evident as she moved with purpose. Coat and furnishings made for a pleasing outline.
2nd: 5307 ROSE, Lady S A Crockerne Moon Shine At Caselden - Litter sister to the class winner, a very pretty pale gold who was a little unsettled and reluctant to show her teeth whilst being examined on the table. She deserved a more detailed look as she has all the attributes that make for a very promising bitch, just needs a bit more time to settle.
