Firstly I would like to thenk Clare Boggia and her Committee for the invite to Judge at The prestigious Houndshow - very well looked after with a super friendly atmosphere.

Thank you to the exhibitors for their entries…a lot of ‘correct size’ mini wires. My 2 bug bears are nails and teeth - there were quite a few with untrimmed nails….and quite a lot with dirty teeth - top canines in particular with at least 5 mm of tartar…come on it doesn't take long to clean them !! A couple had ‘fluffy coats’ and I really dont need to have a black product on my hands after going over the coat of a mini wire ! a few were unsettled today - may have been the unsettled weather or the noise from dogs in cages around the rings.

However - I had some super quality that showed in my main winners .

MPD  - Red 8 month old dog, stood alone in his class. Nice conical head and good eye shape with good ear set.  Adequate reach of neck with tight elbows and good length of rib. Nice rear angulation - tended to ‘crab’ on the move at first - but settled and moved well.

PD - Lovely dog pup with super harsh coat. Masculine head with lovely dark almond eye. Super furnishings, good reach of neck flowing into good shoulders, nice tight elbows. Good length of rib with correct loin. Lovely rear angulation which gave him good movement. RDCC

JD 

1st . Red dog, nice front with good shoulder placement. Lovely length of ribbing - would have liked a stronger rear end - moved ok

2nd. Narrower in front than 1, good shoulder and super ribbing. Good harsh coat, nice rear angulation - once settled moved well

SBD - Young man who really made his young handler work !!. lovely masculine head and good eye shape. Good length of neck with deep keel and tight elbows. super harsh coat - moved when he listened to his handler..well done and keep at it

PGD

1st. As SBD

2nd. Red dog - very nice although rather unsettled today. Nice construction with good ribbing. Nice rear angulation but as he was not happy he didnt use his rear to give the movement that I expect he has.

LD

1st. Shaded red, lovely conical head on a good solid front. Nice shoulders flowing into good ribbing - a dog of correct proportions. Moved true to and fro.

2nd. Lovely masculine head with good eye shape and ear set. Super length of neck with good ribbing and loin.  Nice angles all round which allowed him to move with purpose.

OD

1st. Super outline on the stack and on the move. Correct size with fab harsh coat. Everything in the right place for me and moved like a dream with purpose and drive. DCC/BOB

2nd. Lovely masculine head. Super front with good length of rib and correct length of loin. Good rear angulation. Lost his topline slightly today on the move today.

VD -  A super condition veteran - a good representation for the breed. Lovely head and eye good length of neck/ribbing and loin…nothing exaggerated. Moved with purpose for an older gentleman. BVIB

MPB.

1st - WOW. I would have liked to leave my critique as just that word. However - just to clarify my choice…everything you could want AND more…Size/shape/standard and attitude…even lovely movement for an exactly 6 month old pup (on the day)..she has it  ALL - a pure delight to put your hands on…a typical EMEM.   BPIB

2nd. Lovely 8 month bitch. Feminine conical head with good eye and ear. Good shoulders and tight elbows. Good rib/loin and once she had settled she showed herself and moved well.

PB.

1st. Mature girl for her age. Unsettled rather on the table …however showed herself…in profile and to and fro she moved well maintaining her top line…constructed well with no issues and no exaggeration..Lovely harsh coat and super temperament.

2nd. Similar to 1 in shape, harsh coat, tight elbows with super rear angulation which she used 100% to pwer herself around the ring.

JB.

1st. Feminine conical head with good almond eye. Lovely length of neck with good shoulder placement. Super keel with good ribbing. moved with purpose. RBCC

2nd. Super red bitch who when settled is beautifully constructed from nose to tail which showed in her movement - constructed correctly.

YB

1st. Red bitch who was rather unsettled on the table. Gave her time and she was constructed well with nice head and eye, shoulders and ribbing ok with nice rear angulation. moved well to and fro maintining her topline at all times.

2nd. Feminine head and eye - very expressive. Good length of neck nice tight elbows. Good tight feet and she moved well.

SBB

1st As before.  BSB and thrilled to see her go BSBIS.

2nd. Nice bitch with a nice conical head, good ear set. Length of neck, shoulder and ribbing ok. Nice rear angulation but made it hard for her handler - who I am pleased to say won the battle. Keep going.

PGB.

1st Lovely bitch, once she settle she looks super. Nice conical head with correct eye shape and ear set. Nice length of neck into good shoulders. Lovely length of rib with correct loin. Moved with purpose.

2nd. Slightly taller on the leg than 1, similar comments as above - she just needed to relax into her body on the table. Good harsh coat with lovely furnishings.  Super on the move keeping her topline. 

LB

1st Lovely construction, feminine head and eye. Good reach of neck, correct shoulders with tight elbows and tight feet. Lovely length of rib and good rear angles. Moved with purpose. BCC

2nd Similar comments to 1 - all in the right place from nose to tail lovely harsh coat - just preferred the movement of 1 today.

OB

1st Super outline stacked which gave a lovely profile. Conical head with correct eye and ear. Good lay back of shoulder into nice ribbing. Moved well.

2nd. Dapple wild boar bitch - lower than 1 and giving her handler a tough time. Feminine expression with nice reach of neck. Long ribbing into loin with super rear angulation which she used to drive around the ring.

VB . Red bitch of 7 years. Full of life. Feminine head with soft expression. Nice front, with adequate ribbing and length of loin. Flowed around the ring.
