Judging: Abtech Yearling Stakes, Hound Group
Class 759 AVYD H/U (28 Entries) Abs: 8 - Both these classes were hotly contended and many quality dogs had to go unplaced.
1st: 423 CARRUTHERS, Mrs J Ch Stanegate Salvador( W/H Dachshund) in a quality class for me he still stood out & put in an excellent performance in a large ring. Moved well fore & aft, stands proud and has good balanced profile. Masculine well shaped head with correct ear placement & size, firm neck flowing into his shoulders & corresponding upper arm, in excellent body shape, his top & under line are clean & well held at all times, good length to prominent keel, has well shaped feet & correctly set tail. Quite a heavy coat but of correct texture & is well presented in excellent condition.
2nd: 947 PEARSON, Mr Stuart & PEARSON, Mrs Carole Kelevra Dill Or No Dill JW (Dalmatian) his stance and flowing movement were a joy, in excellent coat and condition, black even spotting of good size, masculine and has nothing exagerated, loved his head shape, correct eye & ear placement, well set neck & shoulders, good bone & for a youngster in excellent body condition, neat compact feet, well set tail & carriage good both stood & moving.
3rd: 186 BEARD, Mr John KELLITCREED SWEENEY TOD (Beagle) a quality male who pleases for size & shape, moved steady and is pleasing in profile, in excellent coat & condition, correct feet & has well held elbows to body, deserves top awards but think the best is yet to come with more maturity.
Res: 574 HODGE, Mrs K KXOXO I'M OLD FASHIONED FOR COLKERIRIN (Imp Fin) (Rhodesian Ridgeback) lovely shape and desirable head, firm neck of good length & set, correct bone & feeet of good shape & webbing, needs more time in body development but is most promising, in excellent coat with desirable ridge & crown, moved with ease & precision for a youngster.

Class 760 AVYB H/U (38 Entries) Abs: 10
1st: 546 BATES, Mr & Mrs D H & J M GUNTHWAITES AYR OF ELEGANCE (Rhodesian Ridgeback), looks better every time I see her, now maturing into something special, desirable size with excellent head, quite mature in ribbing & lovely firm loin, correct ridge, gleaming red coat & in excellent muscular condition, uses her front well & corresponds with the rear to give an excellent profile picture on the move as well as being true and sound both fore & aft, correct feet shape & tail is carried just right.
2nd: 1230 LONGDIN, Mrs E J Wellingley Won Step Ahead(Min Schnauzer) this young lady never stopped showing while in the ring, excellent rapport with handler at all times, profile is of flowing balance, head of good length & has strength, dark eyes, strong slightly arched neck, excellent straight forelegs, deep chest with good breastbone, well set hocks, moved correctly at good pace, sound & well conditioned with correct textured coat.
3rd: 695 JOHNSTON, Mrs Helen & JOHNSTON, Mr Luke & WILSON, Danluke Don't I Know It JW (Whippet) took my eye on first seeing her and loved her shape, has desirable head with correct eye & ear, in excellent rib & has arch over loin, excellent feet, correct coat which is immaculate, well set & carried tail, moved correctly fore & aft would have just liked to see more enthusiasm when moving.

VHC: (Dalmatian) she is ultra feminine and has desirable head shape, strong well placed neck into very pleasing front, correct for bone & just needs body to mature with time, excellent neat feet, movement won her a place in a class of good strong competition. Handled to perfection in gleaming coat and has good strength in her rear, finished off with correct tail set & carriage.
