DARLINGTON  CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW. PORTUGUESE PODENGO . 16TH SEPTMBER 2023 JUDGE VIVIEN  PHILLIPS.

Thank you to the exhibitors and  for their entry and patience as they had a long wait today.  I last judged the Club Show some time ago.   Today ,albeit with a small entry, I found improvement  in the exhibits .All of good size    and type,  movement and tail carriage  much improved

Puppy Dog or Bitch  (2 Entries) Abs: 1 1st:  Curtis’ Stormwitch Magic Melody. Sweet head on this 7 month puppy.  Good size mobile ears. Correct length of neck.  Good lay of shoulder. Pleasing outline.. Full of herself and moved well in front if a little wide  behind. Good coat.    She was enjoying her day. Correct tail carriage.. BP and  Best Bitch. Promising youngster

Junior Dog or Bitch  no entries

Post Graduate Dog or Bitch  (1 Entries) Abs: 0  Curtis’ Stormwitch Givenchy  3 year old bitch of good type and size.. Pretty head and mobile correct ears. She was not the happiest on the table and stood rather hunched   at first.. Settled more on the move.  Little loose in elbow coming towards me. Good coat.   Reserve Best Bitch 

Open dog or Bitch  (2 Entries) Abs: 0 1st:  Cowen’s  Belfus Cisco. 6 year old male of good type. Pleasing head and eye.  Correct mobile ears. Strong neck and front assembly. Good feet. Kept his topline stood  and moving. Good coat.  Moved very well with confidence. Best Dog and BOB. 2nd:  Curtis’  Stormwitch Gingerbread.  Nice head on this  5 year old.. Correct size and outline. Left his jacket at home today.Ears correct not as mobile as the winner .  Good front and feet. Kept his topline on the move. Happy and confident.   Reserve Best Dog.
