DARLINGTON  CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW.  MINIATURE LONG HAIRED DACHSHUNDS  16/9/2023 JUDGE Vivien Phillips

It has been quite a while since I last judged this variety  and I was rather concerned about temperaments.  So many , specially amongst the younger dogs, were nervous and did not want to stand on the table and their eyes looked fearful as they hunched themselves so that the toplines did not look  level.  Having said this, I was very pleased with my main winners who I found to be very good examples of the breed. The veterans were all a tad heavy but   I was also surprised that there were some puppies that tipped the scales

Veteran Dog  (1 Entries) Abs: 0 Broad’s  Ch Neertanuaf Sea Magic JW Sh.CM This was a shaded red 12 year old male and credit to his owner as he was in very  good condition . Pleasing head and eye. Good keel and front.  Tight feet and ribbing goes well back . Good topline and  moved extremely  well, especially  for his age.

Minor Puppy Dog no entries

Puppy Dog (2 Entries) Abs: 0  1st: Phillips’ Summerview Hello Hugo  Black and tan with a good head and  eye. Sufficient keel,   well ribbed with a good topline. Tight feet.  Loved his shape and he  moved very soundly .
