PASTORAL GROUP

Many thanks to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge my first Pastoral Group at this friendly Society.  I had some very good quality exhibits in the Group.

In my shortlist were the Belgian Shepherd Dog (Tervueren), Samoyed, who I understand gained her title today, the Pyrenean Mountain Dog, the Belgian Shepherd Dog (Groenendael), Welsh Corgi (Pembroke), Shetland Sheepdog and the Briard, I choose my final placings from these excellent dogs.

G1     Lester/Smith’s Ch. Hawksflight Pure Envy with Domburg** - Belgian Shepherd Dog (Groenendael). Her overall conformation was so impressive, handling her I was not disappointed, I loved her chiselled head and adoring eyes, great body and plenty of muscle where needed, her perfect movement stole my heart.

G2     Blance’s Ch. Penliath Bill Me Later (AI) - Welsh Corgi (Pembroke).  Such a stunning lady that shows all the time, a true Corgi head, so true to type, sound in conformation, she did not put a foot wrong on the move, so sound and full of energy.

G3     Pearson’s Ch. Edglonian Golden Graham - Shetland Sheepdog.  Loved his head and expression with a good neck and nice proportions, showing all the time, great soundness on the move.

G4     Rual-Keogh’s Ch. Gilcoru Wolfblass D’brie - Briard. Beautiful gentleman and so masculine, a true Briard without any extravagance or excess and shown in fabulous condition, lovely head, neck and shoulders with sound rear quarters, great coat, so sound on the move.
