LADIES KENNEL ASSOCIATION 2020 SHOW CANCELLED
The Officers and Committee of Ladies
Kennel Association very sadly regret to announce that our Championship
Show due to take place on
12 and 13 December 2020 at the NEC is now cancelled.
We have been working very hard behind the scenes with the NEC and
attempted to see our way through the Government Covid19 Regulations
on how our large indoor show could be safely managed and allow us
to go ahead. After taking all matters into consideration but placing
as a priority the welfare and safety of our exhibitors, judges, stewards,
trade stands and the many helpers that give up their time to work
with us, it was deemed necessary to cancel the show this year. All
judges, contractors and the many people that help us put on the show
will of course be informed separately.
We hope you understand our decision and look forward to seeing
you all at our 2021 show which we plan to be bigger and better

Bournemouth Canine Association will have the caravan site open for
14 day for anyone wanting to get away from it all for a few days.

Bournemouth Canine Association wish to advise all Exhibitors of the current situation regarding the 2020 Championship Show, the show scheduled for August has now
been postponed and provisionally been moved to a later date - possibly the first week in October. This subject to guidelines and all the safety and legal requirements.
We will advise all of the details in July and re-open entries on confirmation by the Kennel Club, at this stage a schedule can be obtained by sending a SAE to the Secretary.
Details of the Show schedule can be found online at www.highampress.co.uk. This will be updated when we are fully in compliance with the regulations.
The Committee of Bournemouth will do their utmost to ensure that we put on a show where all are safe and happy and back enjoying the hobby we all love.
Driffield Championship Dog Show Society – Statement
The Officers and Committee of the Driffield Championship Dog Show
Society regret to announce the cancellation of the forthcoming show
to be held at Wetherby Racecourse over the weekend of October 1st to
This decision has not been taken lightly. The safety of all persons
who would be expected to attend the show is the most important and significant
factor in this decision.
Following the guidance given by the Government and the strong recommendations
of The Kennel Club concerning the COVID-19 Pandemic, it has been advised
that events such as major dog shows during this year should be cancelled,
unless sufficient safety precautions could be implemented.
Given that Driffield is the last outdoor Championship Dog Show
of the year it was seen as not suitable to apply for a new license to
defer to a later date, which could only happen if items such as venue,
hotel and everything else required for the organisation of the show was
The Society therefore share your disappointment and sadness that
the show must be cancelled, however we look forward to seeing old friends
and those new to our sport at the same venue but on the new dates for
2021, Friday 26th August through to Monday 29th August.

RICHMOND DOG SHOW SOCIETY
ANNOUNCEMENT RELATING TO COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS (15/05/2020)
The Officers and Committee of the Richmond Dog Show Society have
noted the strong recommendation made by the Kennel Club, on 13th May,
that in the light of the continued restrictions arising from the COVID-19
pandemic that all forthcoming events until the end of September should

up and running of the show, the willingness or otherwise of spectators,

that it would be contrary to government policy and Kennel Club guidance
and socially irresponsible to continue with plans to hold the Society's
forthcoming 2020 championship show on 11th-13th September.
We fully understand and regret the sense of disappointment and
sadness this announcement will cause to our members, sponsors, judges,
exhibitors, stewards, and commercial trade partners. All our appointed
judges for the 2020 show will be contacted and informed of the situation
and offered the same appointment at a subsequent show.
We wish all our members and supporters continued health and safety
in the wake of these unprecedented effects on lifestyle and socialisation
that are proving so restrictive and frustrating to so many of us and
look forward to being able to welcome you all at our show to be held
on Friday, 10th to Sunday, 12th September 2021.

Darlington Dog Show Society - Statement
The Officers and Committee of the Darlington Dog Show Society regret
to announce the cancellation of the forthcoming show to be held 18-20

It is with regret that National Working & Pastoral Breeds Society
has to announce that this years Championship Show on the 11th July has

best interest of the welfare of our exhibitors, judges, stewards
and helpers to make this inevitable decision.
Our Secretary will be in touch with judges as quickly as possible
to discuss an appointment at a future show.
Online entries: we will refund all entry fees minus the credit/debit
card fees which we cannot reclaim and will not charge an administration

THE WELSH KENNEL CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT
It is with regret that the Welsh Kennel Club announces that its
2020 Championship Show Is cancelled.
This decision has been made in the interest of the welfare, safety
and security of judges, exhibitors, spectators, volunteers and the officers
and committee, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
WKC are also aware of the Welsh Assembly Government guidelines
which continue to enforce the lock-down etc in Wales. There are many
uncertainties which adversely affect the preparation and actual running
of the WKC 2020 show.
The doubts in the availability of the RWAS showground, hotel accommodation
plus social restrictions, all dictate as to whether the show can proceed
and have contributed to the decision to cancel the 2020 show.
2020 judges will be contacted to advise of the cancellation and
to offer a future appointment.
The officers and committee of the Welsh Kennel Club send their
best wishes to our members, supporters, exhibitors, stewards and all
judges at this most difficult time.
We look forward to your support at the Welsh Kennel Club 2021 show

LEEDS CHAMPIONSHIP DOG SHOW - Statement
It is with regret that the officers and committee of LEEDS championship
show have decided to cancel this year’s show.
Due to Government guidelines regarding social distancing and public
gatherings, which are doubtful to be lifted in the very near future,
and the fact that the venue is closed with no immediate signs of opening,
the hotel we use being occupied by NHS and key workers and many of
contractors either being closed or diverted to front line duties, there
really is no option.
As well as all of this and most importantly we are mindful that the
health and well being of all of our exhibitors, judges, stewards, and
helpers is of paramount importance.
It is very disappointing for everyone but health and safety comes before
a dog show and we look forward to seeing you all next year when we
hope to celebrate our 70th Anniversary in style.

WINDSOR CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW – COVID-19 - STATEMENT 15th APRIL
All will be aware by now of the advice issued by the Kennel Club regarding
the staging of events. Although our show, scheduled for 2nd to 5th July,
falls outside their recommended date of 30th June, to cancel events, our
show set up starts well in advance of the show dates and as we are unable
to guarantee the required medical cover and ancillary support services
necessary for the show we have decided that cancellation is inevitable
and an early advice of the situation preferable for all. Your health and
wellbeing are of paramount importance to us at Windsor.
For those exhibitors who have entered online, refunds will be issued
by Higham Press less an administrative charge of £5. Any cheques
received that have not yet been presented will be destroyed. Any cheques
already paid into our bank will be refunded by the Society. In both
instances please be patient and allow time for your fees to be refunded.
It is with regret that we have made this decision but hope that all
who contribute to our show, in whatever capacity, will understand and
join us for our 2021 show when we hope we can meet again in happier circumstances.

National Dog Show 2020 - statement
On 17th March the Kennel Club issued advice regarding the safety and
security of competitors, spectators, volunteers and staff at Kennel Club
events. The Officers and Committee of Birmingham National Dog Show, in
line with Kennel Club advice that all Events should be cancelled until
the end of June, have agreed to cancel the Championship Show scheduled
for 7th – 10th
The Society believe that postponing and rearranging later in
the year would not be fair to other Championship and Breed Shows who
show dates agreed for later in year and for this reason the Society
have decided not to apply to the Kennel Club for a new show date in
2020. We hope that you will now look forward to joining us at our 2021
when our aim, as always, will be to provide the best possible exhibitor

On 17th March 2020, the

Three Counties Championship Show - statement
Following on from the advice issued by the Kennel Club on March 17th
regarding the health and safety of all participants and helpers
plus the Three Counties Agricultural Society statement on March 20th
and committee have made the decision to cancel our show scheduled
for June 4th – June 7th 2020. We are sure that you will understand
and we share your disappointment. All judges and helpers will now
be advised of our decision. All postal entries will be returned. Online
entries fees will be refunded to the credit or debit card used
transaction. We will now continue with our preparations to provide
a pleasant show in such beautiful surroundings next year and look
to welcoming you in June 2021.

Cancelled due to Government
Following the recent change in Government advice, it is with much
regret that we can confirm the cancellation of the following events
that were due to take place at Three Counties Showground this year.
CountryTastic – 9 April
RHS Malvern Spring Festival – 7-10 May
Three Counties Championship Dog Show – 4-7 June
Royal Three Counties Show – 12-14 June
Whilst we’re devastated to be making this announcement, we
wholeheartedly support the Government on this matter. We know these
events are a calendar highlight for many thousands of people and
that our exhibitors, designers and traders spend many months getting
ready for the show, but public health and safety has to be our
number one priority, for the sake of our staff, visitors and for
our wider community.
The cancellation of our shows will have a big impact on our staff
and wider community in many ways. With this in mind, and with the
uncertainty facing us in the months ahead, it’s more important
than ever that we pull together to support the most vulnerable
amongst us. We’re currently looking at ways that we as an
organisation can get involved in wider community efforts.
Currently, the cancellation advice only affects CountryTastic,
RHS Malvern Spring Festival, Three Counties Championship Dog Show
and Royal Three Counties Show. We’re hoping to hold Malvern
Autumn Show at the showground as planned. We will continue to monitor
the situation and will provide updates should the Government advice

the four cancelled events, along with all our stakeholders within
the next 21 days.

Bournemouth Championship Show - Covid-19 - statement 2nd April 2020
At present the Bournemouth Championship Show committee will continue to plan
go ahead with our show from 8th - 10th August. As the situation changes, almost
a daily basis, it is not possible to be more specific at this time.
The situation is being closely monitored and as soon as we are able to, we will
make a final decision regarding our 2020 show.
